Country Configuration has been deprecated
The Country Configuration setting that allowed you to enable or disable specific destination countries for duty and tax calculations has been deprecated and removed.
Why we're removing it
While this feature was originally designed to let merchants align landed cost calculations with their courier's DDP coverage, in practice it became a common source of errors. Users would unknowingly disable countries and then experience missing or failed calculations at checkout, leading to confusion and support requests. In most cases, the better outcome is for Dutify to return a calculation for every supported destination and let your shipping or checkout logic decide what to display.
What's changed
Duty and tax calculations are now returned for all countries in Dutify's supported coverage by default. You no longer need to manually manage a country allow-list.
What you need to do
Nothing - this change takes effect automatically.
If you were previously relying on country configuration to suppress calculations for certain destinations, you will still have access to this feature, but we recommend handling that filtering in your own integration layer (e.g. your shipping zone or checkout logic) instead.
